Cazapple Juice
Two of the most popular foods to juice are carrots and apples. This recipe features both, along with a little zucchini (which you don't even taste). You'll experience a burst of energy after just one glass of this wonderfully sweet juice.
Ingredients
- 3 large carrots, unpeeled
- 2 apples, unpeeled, cored, and cut into slices
- 2 medium zucchini, unpeeled and quartered
Instructions
- Wash produce well. Feed into juicer, and enjoy.
- Yield: 2 servings (serving size: 8 ounces or 1 cup)
Is there any way to make a juice with the blender?? I don’t want to make a smoothie was just wondering if I absolutely need a juicer or if I could do the same with a blender??
Hi, Jordyn! True juicing is done with a juicer because the fiber is extracted, leaving only the juice. With a blender, you pretty much have a smoothie. The consistency in a blender will be thicker.
That was really good! I was surprised at how little I tasted of the zucchini. Thanks for the recipe!
You’re welcome, Natalie! I’m glad you liked it. 🙂
I just tried it with my son and wife. They said it was awesome and they feel more energized. I hated zucchini before, but after this juice I love it.
Great! I’m so glad to hear your family enjoyed it.
Never discard the zucchini pulp when juicing. The pulp is wonderful when mixed with egg and a little almond or coconut flour and some herbs as either a flapjack or a pizza base
You can use zucchini pulp with the apple and carrot pulp and make zucchini ,apple carrot muffins. nice way to start the morning
I don’t understand how all these recipes are ok to eat on a Daniel fast. The Bible says fruit vegetables and water. We’re you led by the spirit to do this? It is awesome however a bit confusing because with your terrific recipes it is more of a filling meal with no meat or dairy instead of a biblical Daniel fast. . Please explain to me because I love your book but don’t want to feel convicted by not eating what Daniel ate. Thank you
Shawn, I understand your hesitation. Your question is a good one. Please read my comments on the Food Guidelines page for clarification. I think the information will help set your mind at ease. Thanks for your comment and kind words about my book!
Can you use a blender if you do not have a juicer?
Yes, you can always make these into smoothies, if you’d like.
If you make it as a smoothie, do you add water? If so, how much?
You know I’m not sure because I’ve never tried to make this recipe into a smoothie! I recommend adding about 1/2 cup to start, and then see what the consistency is. You can always add more as you go!
I love all these recipes, I am going to try several of them this week. thsnk you very much! be blessed today!!! 🙂
You’re welcome! So thankful you are being blessed by them.
Will be trying this juice tomorrow morning. 🙂
What did you think?
I can’t wait to try it. My neighbour, very kindly, keeps giving me loads of courgettes but I can’t stand them so at least they’ll be used rather than end up in the compost bin. 😉
I have this juice every morning and it really makes me feel good. I used to use celery until I realised I absolutely HATE celery and that it overpowers every juice with it’s grossness… not to mention makes cleanup a nightmare due to the tentacle-like fibers I then substituted it for zucchini as per recommendations I read on the interwebs and never looked back!
PS: I use a Hurom HU-400, does the job wonderfully. 🙂
that is too funny-I never liked those celery tentacles either. keep up the good juice!!! 🙂
Tuscan cantaloupe, carrot and celery is actually pretty good. Can’t even taste the celery.
